Having Interns Has Been a Win-Win Partnership For the Denver Technology Services
“He has done a fantastic job!”
That’s what Dave Bobrowski, Senior Business Analyst of the City and County of Denver Technology Services expressed about Ivan Hernandez, a Denver Public School (DPS) student from Abraham Lincoln School and intern participating in the 120 hour CareerLaunch-Internship program during this summer.
Ivan is a young man with a big passion for technology and computers. He plans to be the first member of his family to graduate from high school and pursue a professional career. And his long-term dream is to become an engineer.
Having interns has been a win-win partnership for the City and County of Denver Technology Services team.
Ivan has learned quickly what knowledge management is all about, how to use the city’s contact management system, and how to record all that information and transfer it from an old system to an updated platform. Ivan has been instrumental in bridging that knowledge gap for the team and also for the customers that can use all this information themselves.
The City and County of Denver Technology Services is hosting a total of 12 interns this summer. The CareerLaunch Internship program gives students real-world experiences in their career field of choice.
